CPYU

The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding is a nonprofit organization committed to building strong families by serving to bridge the cultural-generational gap between parents and teenagers.

At a time when an already confusing youth culture is changing quickly, CPYU helps parents, youth workers, educators, and others understand teenagers and their culture so that they will be better equipped to help children and teens navigate the challenging world of adolescence.

The Bible Project

BibleProject is a nonprofit, crowdfunded organization that produces 100% free Bible videos, podcasts, blogs, classes, and educational Bible resources to help make the biblical story accessible to everyone everywhere.

From page one to the final word, we believe the Bible is a unified story that leads to Jesus. This diverse collection of ancient books overflows with wisdom for our modern world. As we let the biblical story speak for itself, we believe the message of Jesus will transform individuals and entire communities.

YOUTH MINISTRY IS NOT ENOUGH.

IF A STUDENT COMES TO EVERY YOUTH GROUP MEETING AND TEEN SERVICE THROUGHOUT THEIR TEEN YEARS, THEY WILL ONLY HAVE 1,150 HOURS IN THE CHURCH; WHICH IS LESS THAN 50 DAYS TOTAL.

YOUTH MINISTRY WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH IN AND OF ITSELF. FOR GBCYTH TO TRULY BE IMPACTFUL FOR STUDENTS IT TAKES TWO MAIN THINGS:

FIRST, IT TAKES DEEP MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS. IN GBCYTH, WE HAVE 30+ LEADERS WHO ARE INTENTIONAL ABOUT WALKING ALONGSIDE OUR STUDENTS AND BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS THAT LAST OUTSIDE OUR PROGRAMS. WE DON'T EXPECT OUR LEADERS TO KNOW EVERY ANSWER, BUT INSTEAD BE WILLING TO SEARCH FOR THE ANSWERS TOGETHER.

SECOND, WE NEED FAMILIES THAT ARE WILLING TO GROW MORE IN THEIR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST! THERE ARE OVER 61,000 HOURS THAT MAKE UP A STUDENTS TIME IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL. THAT MEANS GBCYTH HAS LESS THAN 2% OF THEIR TIME, AT BEST. STUDENTS NEED MORE THAN JUST TIME IN CHURCH,

THEY NEED EXAMPLES AT HOME.
